Riverside County Gun Owners PAC Announce Formation of New Local Second Amendment Political Group
Activists come together to promote local city and county Second Amendment issues and candidates
San Bernardino – With the support of her advisory board members and volunteers, volunteer Executive Director Dezarae Payne officially announces the formation of a new political organization that is focused on local Second Amendment local city and county issues, the Riverside County Gun Owners PAC.
“We have seen attempts to limit our Second Amendment rights at the local level time and again,” Dezarae stated. “Whether it is making the sale of ammunition more difficult for law abiding gun owners or restricting access to conceal carry permits– our rights have been slowly chipped away and now we are taking a stand,” Dezarae noted.
Dezarae Payne is a long time Second Amendment advocate and volunteer in Riverside and has been named the Executive Director of the new Riverside based Second Amendment group. “We are big fans of the national and state groups, but we found there is also a need to push back on our elected officials when they infringe on our rights locally,” said Dezarae, “because locally is where Sacramento and Washington D.C. politicians start. We are that voice for Riverside County gun owners. We educate, empower, and act.”
The Riverside County Gun Owners have launched their new website
www.RiversideCountyGunOwners.com
with their mission statement and Advisory Board info. There will be monthly meetings on the 4
th
Saturday of the month at 3pm located at Bullseye Sport Guns & Ammo in Riverside. Meetings are open to members and non-members and are free to attend. Riverside County Gun Owners is patterned after the successful San Diego County Gun Owners PAC and Orange County Gun Owners PAC.
“We are encouraged by many of our elected officials’ support for the 2nd Amendment, but we stand ready, to take on any candidates or officials who encroach on those rights. Our goal is to organize the gun owner community, provide the resources to get the right people elected, and make sure that nobody gets elected on a board or council in Riverside County unless they want to protect and restore our Second Amendment rights.” stated Dezarae.
Riverside County Gun Owners will be hosting a meet and greet event with Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco on July 13
th
, from 12pm to 2pm at 360xDefense, 537 Florida Ave., Hemet. Their first monthly meeting is open to the public on July 27
th
at 3pm at Bullseye Sports and Ammo located at 6710 Brockton, Riverside, CA.
